My journey: a passion for people and their stories
I love stories. I love people. I love to share personal stories – of life, of love, of success, of relationships. That deep passion is what led me to become The Yorkshire Storytelling Celebrant. It’s a privilege to connect with individuals and families, to listen intently, and to transform their experiences into beautiful, memorable ceremonies.
Crafting ceremonies as unique as your story
My unique style comes from working alongside people, truly listening to their stories, and using their history, anecdotes, and tales to weave a highly personalised, bespoke ceremony. I start every ceremony with a blank piece of paper, ensuring no two are ever the same.
I create ceremonies for every stage of life, including naming ceremonies to welcome new family members, wedding celebrations and vow renewals, and celebrations of life at funerals, memorials, and interments. I also respectfully commemorate the loss of much-loved pets. You'll always find me friendly, approachable, and empathetic, taking the time to listen carefully and weave your stories into carefully crafted ceremonies.
Sprinkling stardust on every occasion
Beyond the ceremonies, what I truly love is helping people celebrate life's big moments. I enjoy creating ceremonies that bring comfort during challenging and sad times, as well as sharing in the happiest of moments. I generally wear my sparkly boots and enjoy sprinkling every occasion with a little positivity and stardust.
Whether it's a joyous occasion or a moment of quiet reflection, my aim is to create a ceremony that truly reflects you and leaves everyone with cherished memories. I am based in Barnsley and cover areas across South and West Yorkshire, and even further afield by prior arrangement.
